cranky cat is also dilated

Also? It’s been eight hours since they hit me with the uber-dilation drops. Could I please have control of my pupils again?

At least I can read now. For a good five hours there, I couldn’t focus my eyes enough to process print worth a damn.

    I’m sorry all around. What a frustrating day.

      It is a frustration that will pass. I’d rather wait for a procedure with an extremely good prognosis than go for one I always knew was going to be a bit of a gamble anyway.

    Gah! I hate it when they do that!

    “Oh, this will only last 20 minutes, tops!”

    I hope it clears up, soon!

    Warning — when I went for LASIK testing (not for me, either), it was *3* days before my vision returned to normal. Wear sunglasses and be careful driving anywhere.

    They did not warn me about this. Oh no, they said “You’ll be fine in a couple of hours”. Bastidges. Glad I didn’t do the surgery, or I’d be walking into walls still.

      Yeah, um — I’m less dilated this morning, but my pupils are still non-responsive to changes in light.

      Jesus Christ.

        You should pin a note on your shirt about your recent dilation, in case you get a head injury and are unable to tell the EMTs that it’s not just the concussion but your pupils also aren’t reactive. (;

        And a part of me really wants to bring my penlight over to play.
