Aaaaand done.

Sigh. It’s so clear — now that it’s too late — that I needed two more paragraphs in that novel. One in this scene and one in that scene, to give a particular aspect of the story a bit of the punch it’s lacking.

But it’s way too late for that.

Oh well. I have finished the page proofs, listening to my soundtrack all the way, and at the very end text and music lined up perfectly, and I sniffled a bit. If I can still be moved at all by this thing, after having read it so very many times, there’s hope for it yet.

Even if it is two paragraphs short.

Even if it is two paragraphs short.
*sigh* Well maybe you could put them on your Web site when the book is done as a special for your readers.

Incidentally I have a great idea for book release party!! An Elizabethan costume ball!!!

You have to wonder, though, is this an instance where only you “know” it’s two paragraphs short? 🙂

Yes and no. I suspect some readers will feel that a particular aspect of the story is weak; I’m probably the only one who’s looking at it and saying, “yes, and I could have fixed that — at least partially — with one paragraph here and one there.”
