How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways.

I’ve always known that I don’t like grading. But this is the first time I’ve been able to put it in such appalling terms:

I procrastinated from grading tonight by doing my federal and state taxes.

Doing my taxes was preferable to grading.

Ye gods.

You know, I was grading tonight, *too*. And I only *wish* I’d been bright enough to think of procrastinating by doing my taxes ….

So how many of your students know about your blog? Recently I found out my professors read mine. Well, not so recently about that one. Recently I found out one of my previous professors told one of my current professors about my blog. Still don’t know how to take the information.

They could certainly find it if they went looking, which is why I never say anything specific about students (except, very rarely, behind a lock). Generalized whinging about the necessity of grading is acceptably vague as to be public — at least as far as I’m concerned.

But I do think about it, yes.

    Oh yeah. You hate grading.
