“Hermit of the Crossroads”

I feel like this poem is more characteristically me than any of the ones I sold before it. For one thing, it’s very classically a form poem — terza rima, with an ending couplet a la a terzanelle — and although I do write free verse, form is where my heart lives. For another, it is not only secondary world fantasy, but a quiet, meditative piece inspired by religious anchorites, a tradition I find fascinating.
